Steaming

Steaming is usually done using a special kind of pot, which is divided into two parts. In the lower part fill in water. Upper part (which has small holes in it) is to put the food you wish to steam. Put the upper part on top of the lower part and put on the lid. Now it is ready for steaming.

However, if you don’t have a pot like this simply pour some water in to large pot. Put an aluminium or any metallic bowl inside the pot. Take a small tray, which will fit in the pot, top of the bowl. Put the food you want to steam in the tray, cover the tray with a small lid, and cover the pot with a large lid. Remember the water level should be beneath the bowl.
