200g fish ( cut into small cubes)

2 onions (cut into cubes)

1/2 green pepper (cut into cubes)

2 green chilli (cut into halves)

1 tsp chilli powder

1/2 cup sauce (chilli and tomato mix)

1/2 cup water

1 tsp corn flour

1 tsp pepper powder

1 egg

1 tsp soya sauce

1tsp vinegar

oil for frying

salt to taste

Mix fish with corn flour, egg, vinegar, salt, pepper powder and soya sauce and keep aside for an hour.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and shallow fry the fish.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in another pan and fry the onions, green pepper and green chilli.

When fried lightly add in the fried fish, chilli powder, water and cook in low heat for 25 minutes.

Finally add in the sauce, cook for further 1 -2 minutes and remove from heat.

Chilli fish is ready, serve hot.

If you think the dish is too oily or if u want less oil, instead of frying the fish you can bake it till lightly brown.

It can be served with fried rice, plain rice or with bread or chapathis.
