Hot and Spicy Cuttlefish


Cuttlefish dishes are also made in different ways like other seafood dishes. Hot n spicy cuttlefish is a dish with extra hot for those who wish to make their lunch or dinner really enjoyable.


Ingredients:


500g cuttlefish (cut into 1 inch cubes)

2 large onions (sliced)

4-5 chillies (cut into halves)

1 tomato (cut into cubes)

1 tbsp soya sauce

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp garlic paste

1 tsp ginger paste

1 curry leaf

1 cardamom

1 inch cinnamon

1 tbsp red chilli powder

1 tsp black pepper powder

1 tsp vinegar

2 tbsp oil

1/2 cup water

salt to taste


Preparation:


Mix soya sauce, pepper powder, vinegar, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder and salt with fish and keep for about an hour.

Heat the oil in a pan and add anions, chillies, cardamom, cinnamon and curry leaf and fry until onions are lightly brown.

Add in tomato paste and fry for further 2 minutes.

Add the marinated fish and 1/2 cup water.

Cover with a lid and cook in low heat for 20 minutes or until water has evaporated completely.

Add in tomatoes half way through the cooking time.

Serve hot with fried rice.
